Lacrosse LDO’s team kit

18th February, 2010

Every year the English Lacrosse Association (ELA) recruit American Local Development Officers (LDO)  to work with clubs and schools.

At the club, the LDO is responsible for helping to grow and maintain the junior programme, coaching select junior squads, supporting the Pop and LAX initiatives and refereeing games.

In the schools they encourage children of all ages to try lacrosse and then help them develop their skills.

This year, with the FIL World Lacrosse Champioships being held in Manchester, the LDO have all been kitted out in a special 2010 polo shirt.

RAD SHEEP worked with the ELA staff to create a design with the right image for their staff as they work in the schools and clubs throughout the UK to  develop a Lacrosse legacy.

Leeds Cup Double

23rd April, 2009

LEEDS Lacrosse club are celebrating having won a memorable title double this season.

The new Men’s North of England League Fifth Division champions completed the double when the won the Nigel Wayne Trophy at the weekend.

Having narrowly missed out on promotion in their first year and having finished runners up in last year’s Nigel Wayne final to Rochdale B, Leeds were hoping to bounce back from last year’s disappointment.

Charlie Walker led the scoring for Leeds with four goals and Anthony Edwards bagged a hat-trick.

Lachlan Ross, Ric Jones, Nick Holland, and David Trasler completed the scoring with one goal each.

“It was great to get over last year’s disappointment by doing the double,” reflected Leeds captain Simon Gill.

“We have played good lacrosse all season and ensured that this year we got promotion”.
