Cotton prices hit 15 year high

24th September, 2010

Clothes prices on the high street could be set to rise after cotton futures hit a 15-year high yesterday,

Flooding in Pakistan and China – two of the world’s biggest growers – have sparked concerns about supplies, sending the price surging.

In New York on Monday, cotton topped $1 per pound for the first time since 1995.

We have been informed today of prices increases from the major leisurewear manufacturers.

This will effect all the t-shirts, hoodies and jackets that we purchase for customers.

BUT………………. Its not all bad news because all of the RAD SHEEP fabrics that we purchase for dye sublimation are POLYESTER and these has remained pretty stable in price.

So expect price increases in cotton garments but not in our dye sub printed polyester teamwear.

But there is still the increase in VAT from January 2011.

Lacrosse LDO’s team kit

18th February, 2010

Every year the English Lacrosse Association (ELA) recruit American Local Development Officers (LDO)  to work with clubs and schools.

At the club, the LDO is responsible for helping to grow and maintain the junior programme, coaching select junior squads, supporting the Pop and LAX initiatives and refereeing games.

In the schools they encourage children of all ages to try lacrosse and then help them develop their skills.

This year, with the FIL World Lacrosse Champioships being held in Manchester, the LDO have all been kitted out in a special 2010 polo shirt.

RAD SHEEP worked with the ELA staff to create a design with the right image for their staff as they work in the schools and clubs throughout the UK to  develop a Lacrosse legacy.
